This administration is a disaster
To the Editor:
“The strength of American government is based on three things: a President that is truthful with the people and who can be counted upon to keep his word, a Congress that ensures that the president follows the law and insists that it controls the spending of all our hard-earned taxpayer dollars, and a Supreme Court whose rulings are fair and just, assuring no man or woman is above the law or favored by the law.
How about some respect for all athletes
Editor’s note: Bob Clark coached the Tuscola boys and girls discus and shotput athletes for the past three seasons. Prior to that he coached the boys and girls throwers for four seasons at Waynesville Middle School. Six of those seven years he was a volunteer.
This spring Tuscola High School’s principal, accompanied by the athletic director (AD), threw $30,000 of taxpayer money away to change the color suggested for the new Tuscola track.
Admin shuffle following Nolte’s retirement

Shortly thereafter, the school board announced it had selected his replacement, Associate Superintendent Dr. Trevor Putnam. Now, the school system has chosen which administrators will fill in the positions left open down the chain of command.
Price tag for new central office is mighty high
Is it a Taj Mahal or a wise use of tax dollars?
I’m talking about the proposal to spend around $13 million to build a central office for the Haywood County School System that will bring administration, food services, transportation, teacher/staff training facilities and more all under one roof.
Administration shuffled in Haywood County Schools
Haywood County Schools superintendent Dr. Bill Nolte wasted little time in announcing the administrative support team that will help him maintain and improve upon the school district’s eleventh overall statewide ranking.
