Within REACH Says Thank You to Volunteers
National Volunteer Week is April 17-23, 2022. This week we celebrate all volunteers that make the world a brighter, healthier, more helpful place to live. One Haywood County business that thrives off the work of their volunteers is the Within Reach Resale Shop located in Hazelwood Village.
This high quality shop profits REACH of Haywood, a nonprofit organization that assists and supports victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault and elder abuse. REACH provides a 24-hour helpline, emergency shelter for survivors and their children, emergency food, medicine, clothing and personal care items, court/legal assistance, life skills training, programs for teens and children, help with housing and much more.
This week Within Reach has been saying thank you to their volunteers by offering coffee and donuts each day at the store. Volunteers at the resale shop do things such as run the register, process donations, display merchandise, load and unload furniture and help out any other way they can.
TJ Wilkes, Within Reach store manager, said, “This entire operation could not function without the hard work and dedication of our faithful volunteers.”
