Rising Americana/outlaw country star Stephen Wilson Jr. will hit the stage at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Highlander Mountain House in Highlands.

Highlands Greenway celebrates productive 2023

During 2023, volunteers with the Highlands Plateau Greenway contributed 640 hours to create new trails and maintain the existing ones that connect the Highlands community, participating in more than 23 workdays over the past year. 

Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation names new executive director

 The Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation announced that Charlotte Muir has been appointed as its new executive director. The announcement comes following an extensive nationwide search conducted by the Succession Planning Committee and approval from the Board of Directors. 

Highlands Biological Foundation appoints interim director

Winter Gary has been appointed interim executive director of the Highlands Biological Foundation as the organization works through a leadership transition after Charlotte Muir left for an executive director position with the Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation. 

Reimagine Bartram’s travels

Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation awards grants

The Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation has awarded 14 grants totaling over $1.4 million in the 2023 grant cycle.

Five compete for Highlands Commission

Highlands will have at least one new member on its Board of Commissioners after Election Day this November.

An intimate performance by renowned Americana/indie act Hurray For The Riff Raff will be part of the “Salon Series” at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Highlander Mountain House in Highlands.
