• “Farmers & Artisans Market” will be every Friday morning (May-October) at 117 Island St. in Bryson City. Stop by the old barn along the river for local, homegrown produce, as well as baked goods, jellies/preserves, authentic crafts and more. Picnic tables onsite. There will also be live music. • “Weird & Wacky,” the latest exhibit from the Haywood County Arts Council, will open Friday, April 17, at HCAC’s Haywood Handmade Gallery in Waynesville. This imaginative and playful exhibition will be on display through June 1, inviting visitors to explore art that celebrates the unusual, the quirky and the wonderfully unexpected. The opening reception will take place from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the gallery.
