Bananas are a source of carbohydrates (fiber) and potassium and make a great portable snack.

• Slice them up into your plain or vanilla Greek yogurt, oatmeal or cold cereal

• Use bananas to make muffins or quick breads

• Put mashed ripe banana into pancake or waffle batter

• Freeze overripe bananas (for extra sweetness) and make a smoothie with milk or soy milk, protein powder, cinnamon, vanilla and a sweetener of your choice like honey.

• Cook sliced banana into melted butter on the stove, add brown sugar and a splash of vanilla to make caramelized banana and enjoy it as a dessert with a dollop of plain or vanilla Greek yogurt.
