North Carolina’s forests are among the state’s most important natural resources. Our forests are prized for their scenic beauty, sporting tourism, and outdoor recreation. Pivotal in protecting these areas are Natural Resource Managers from federal, state, and private entities who work together to manage our region’s valuable forest lands.
On Sept. 24, FIND Outdoors will host a free Stewards & Storytellers Learning Series titled “Natural Resource Management is Serious Business…sometimes.”
The lecture will be presented by Robert Beanblossom, a longtime forest manager with decades of experience, who retired after 42 years with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. He now volunteers as the beloved caretaker at the Cradle of Forestry in America, where he continues his commitment to forest stewardship and public education.
Tickets are free, but RSVPs can be made at gofindoutdoors.org. The event is open to the public and includes two complimentary alcoholic beverages and light snacks. Drinks are made available through generous support from Oskar Blues.
