The Cradle of Forestry invites the public to the inaugural TimberFest, a celebration of our shared forests and the products that are created through them. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 5, the event will offer a family-friendly day of fun, including live lumberjack demonstrations, traditional crafters, living history and more.
Be among the first to experience the grand unveiling of the Cradle of Forestry’s newest exhibit, a Chainsaw Carved Statue Walk by Echoes of the Forest, carved using trees felled during Hurricane Helene into six species that were impacted by the storm.
This event is free with standard admission. All admission fees support the Cradle of Forestry’s mission to promote, preserve, and enrich the birthplace of forest science in America by cultivating appreciation for the vast and varied potential of our shared forest lands.
