To the Editor:
The Democrats do not hate America. This is red meat fodder that the right-wing media promotes to keep us all divided and distracted.
Right-wing media is financed by ultra wealthy people who want to take complete control of our country and indeed the world. Their Project 2025 lays it out in black and white.
Newt Gingrich began the process of demonizing Democrats. Consequently, there is very little cooperation across the aisle in state or federal houses. Right-wing media uses fear, hate and anger, some of the worst impulses of human nature, to fire up their base against the Democrats. That 30% of the American public has fallen for their trickery is both sad and pathetic.
Our only hope as a nation is that, like the reflecting pool, the Republican Party will implode when it becomes unavoidably obvious that they are on the path of the ultra rich to gain more at the expense of the rest of us.
