Job Title: Print and Digital Marketing/Sales Specialist

Salary: Salary plus commission 

Work Location: Waynesville, North Carolina

We’ve been a media leader for 20 years and know first-hand the importance of adapting to the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing. We are a close-knit group of eclectic, creative professionals looking to add a full-time marketing specialist to our company. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and capable of working independently as well as in a team setting. This person will be comfortable cold calling new customers, possess strong interpersonal skills, have a knack for creative thinking as it pertains to digital and print revenue.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Meet with, acquire and retain new clientele
• Serve existing clients by maintaining ongoing, positive relationships
• Sell and manage print and digital ad campaigns.
• Possess willingness to learn and to stay abreast of current trends in digital marketing.
• Possess strong ability to multitask while maintaining strict attention to detail.

Requirements

• Familiarity with MAC and PC platforms. 
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups as a Smoky Mountain News and Mountain South Media representative.
• Demonstrable understanding of digital marketing trends and concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be a self-starter and have solid time management skills.

Education & Experience

Degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications or related field preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working in sales. Recent graduates will be considered for employment so long as they possess a degree related to the job requirements and are able to provide references.
