Showcasing some of the finest live Latin jazz/soul music, “Cool Jazz: Featuring Alfredo Rodriguez” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville. 

A special stage production of “An Iliad” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24-25, 31, Feb. 1 and 2 p.m. Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville. 

Haywood Arts Regional Theatre (HART) in Waynesville has announced the launch of its “Spring Semester Theatre Classes,” which will run Jan. 27 through April 4.

A special stage production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas Musical Extravaganza” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13, 2 p.m. Dec. 14 and 5 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville. 

A special production of “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19-21 and 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville. 

A special production of “Inherit the Wind” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22-24 and 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville. 

A special production of “Footloose” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. July 18-19, 25-27 and 2 p.m. July 20-21 and 28 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville. 

The Haywood County Tourism Development Authority announced last week that it had awarded just over $250,000 in grants to 18 organizations for more than two dozen community projects all across the county. 

A special stage production of “The Gods of Comedy” will be held at 7:30 p.m. June 27-29 and 2 p.m. June 30 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville.
