An exhibition entitled “Weaving Our Heritage: Cherokee Baskets” will open on July 18 at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum.
The showcase will be on view through Feb. 13, 2027. The exhibition will be celebrated with a reception and curator’s talk from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the museum.
More than a year in the making, “Weaving our Heritage” is curated by Anna Fariello, who has organized numerous exhibitions in Western North Carolina. The exhibition includes the work of 15 Eastern Band Cherokee basket makers with several families represented across multiple generations.
