Kristin Entler will discuss their new poetry collection, “Of Water Never Ceasing,” with Andrew Mack at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at City Lights Bookstore in Sylva.

The collection explores life with chronic illness, treatment and survival, tracing how the body endures ongoing care and how daily life adapts to medical systems, fatigue and uncertainty.

Entler, a writer and educator from Alabama now living in Western North Carolina, holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Arkansas and an MA in Creative Writing from UAB. Their work has appeared in The Bitter Southerner, Gulf Stream Literary Magazine, Porter House Review, BOOTH and elsewhere.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit citylightsnc.com or call 828.586.9499.
