The annual QuickDraw art fundraiser will once again be held from 4:30-9 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Laurel Ridge Country Club in Waynesville.

The cocktail social will include an hour-long QuickDraw Challenge, live/silent auction, refreshments and dinner. Live artists will be working in the public eye, creating timed pieces, which will then be auctioned off.ย

Proceeds go to art classroom supplies in schools and college scholarships for art-related studies. QuickDrawโ€™s signature auction for art education features several unique items to benefit art education in schools.

QuickDraw offers artists a way to show off and to support art teachingโ€™s importance. For attendees, itโ€™s a rare chance to watch art be built from the ground up and to see the end product on the same day. For visitors and potential residents, itโ€™s a way to make friends, discover artists to commission and tap into the philanthropic community.

For art teachers, itโ€™s a lifeline for funding classroom art initiatives in a cash-strapped school system. Since 2001, QuickDraw has funded $255,000 in art supplies and college scholarships in Haywood County Schools.

Tickets are $125 per person (advance only). VIP tables and sponsorships are also available. A portion of the ticket price pays for art teacher dinners.

For more information and/or to purchase tickets, visit quickdrawofwnc.com or call 828.734.5747.
