Haywood Community College and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission will offer opportunities for hunter safety courses in Fall 2026.
Classes will be offered from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 15-16, Oct. 20-21, and Nov. 17-18 on the HCC campus in Clyde in the Walnut building, room 3322. Participants must attend two consecutive evenings to receive their certification.
More than a firearms safety course, instruction includes ethics and responsibility, conservation and wildlife management, wildlife identification, survival and first aid, specialty hunting, and tree stand safety.
