The “An Appalachian Evening” series will kick off its 2026 season with a performance by The Kruger Brothers at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in Lynn L. Shields Auditorium at the Stecoah Valley Center in Robbinsville.
Since their formal introduction to American audiences in 1997, The Kruger Brothers’ remarkable discipline, creativity and their ability to infuse classical music into folk music has resulted in a unique sound that has made them a fixture within the world of acoustic music.
In their ever-expanding body of work — featuring Swiss brothers Jens Kruger (banjo and vocals), Uwe Kruger (guitar and lead vocals) and Joel Landsberg (bass and vocals) — The Kruger Brothers personify the spirit of exploration and innovation that forms the core of the American musical tradition. Their original music is crafted around their discerning taste — the result unpretentious, cultivated and delightfully fresh.
The annual summer concert series offers an ever-changing schedule of bluegrass, folk and old-time mountain music by award-winning artists — quality entertainment for the entire family.
Rich in cultural heritage, the series continues to be a favorite with locals and visitors alike. The concert will be held in the air-conditioned Lynn L. Shields Auditorium.
Tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for students grades K-12. Dinner will also be available for purchase in the Schoolhouse Cafe starting at 6 p.m.
