Have you ever imagined a different life for yourself? Do you spend a little time fantasizing? Do you ruminate on past experiences until the pain is once again real? Where do these thoughts go when you’ve wallowed long enough? Most of them (or a version of them) travel into the astral plain where they wait for other thoughts to join them and gain enough strength to make their way into your reality. Huh?  

In global conversations about climate change, carbon neutrality and green energy, nuclear power plays a pivotal role. It’s responsible for one-fifth of the United States’ annual electricity supply and accounts for more than half of its low-carbon energy . Duke Energy customers in North Carolina get about half their power from nuclear energy.

Guidance can be very subtle. Finding ways to recognize and follow that guidance can be a timesaver. We hear stories about intuition saving people’s lives by helping them to avert danger, but intuition can serve us in small ways as well. Sometimes it’s about getting us into a flow to make our lives easier. Here is what everyday intuition can look like, if you’re willing to recognize it.  

How to Design Your Life: I grew up in a small town with three sisters. Wanting to indulge our possible talents and interests, my parents invested in a baby grand piano and piano lessons. Our teacher, Anne Scoggins, not only provided excellent instruction in her music studio, but she also insisted we go before adjudicators at Meredith College to get written critiques and a certificate of our progress each year. Not being terribly dedicated to honing our craft, these annual performance reviews became quite stressful. 

As more states have pledged their commitment to reducing carbon emissions over the last decade, North Carolina has begun to follow suit.

His arms move in rhythm to the beat as he puffs his chest out and looks around hiscity. He owns it, and he doesn’t care who knows it. Watching that scene begs the question “confidence — is it demonstrated and then felt, or felt and then demonstrated?”

Have you ever had a realization about yourself and rather than sharing that new understanding, you chose instead to keep quiet? I’m not referring to ticking a lock about your opinion. I’m referencing the awareness that you have changed and then choosing not to divulge that new insight with your partner or friend.

Jesus was an incredible teacher of divine love. Through his teachings we learn that we can all have a direct relationship with God giving us access to our divine human potential. During this Easter season as our old selves symbolically die, let us look at what it means to live a life of love in action. Let’s see how we can tune into the energy of compassion and extend it outward to those that cross our path. 

When I was younger, I remember my mother saying that sometimes she and my father could be having a fight that felt so big to her right before he was supposed to leave for a trip, and he could totally put it out of his mind and go fly a plane.
