Mountain Credit Union (MCU) held its annual Tee it Up for Diabetes Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
After a day of perfect weather, MCU announced a donation of $12,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is the leading global organization funding Type 1 diabetes (T1D) research whose mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.
Brooke Mize, Development Director of the North Carolina Chapter for JDRF, expressed her gratitude, stating, “We are incredibly thankful to Mountain Credit Union and all the participants of the Tee it Up for Diabetes Golf Tournament. Their generous donations over the years have topped the $70,000.00 mark and have significantly advanced our mission to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes and improve the lives of those affected by the disease.”
