The planting season is getting closer, and Master Gardeners are available to answer questions about lawns, vegetables, flowers, trees and ornamental plants; disease, insect, weed or wildlife problems; soils (including soil test results) and fertilizers; freeze and frost damage; and cultural and chemical solutions to pest problems.ย

Emailย HaywoodEMGV@gmail.comย withย aย detailed description of the problem, plant, or insect. Send clear digital photos if possible, or people can call 828.456.3575 and describe their home gardening issue to the receptionist. Either way,ย aย Haywood County Master Gardener Volunteer will reach out withinย aย few days with research-based information.

People can also drop by the Extension office on Raccoon Road in Waynesville; the on-site clinic is staffed Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
