The Town of Waynesville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a public input session for the Waynesville Recreation Park concept plan from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from at the Waynesville Recreation Center, Room A.
This will be an interactive drop-in session, not a formal presentation. Large maps of the proposed plan will be available for the public to review, with opportunities to identify ideas, concerns and priorities directly on the maps. Town staff and the project team from Withers-Ravenel will be available to answer questions and gather feedback.
The concept plan looks at the recreation park as a whole, including:
- Skate park
- Tennis courts
- Playground
- Park amenities
- Accessibility and pedestrian connections
- Safety and security
- Parking and circulation
- Potential future improvements
- Existing plans
Residents, families, sports organizations, coaches, athletes, schools, neighboring property owners, businesses, community organizations, and other park users are encouraged to participate.
