State announces $17 million investment in mental health services

Gov. Josh Stein and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) announced more than $17 million for investments to improve mental health services through North Carolina’s Rural Health Transformation Program (NCRHTP).

“Every North Carolinian deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life,” Stein said. “Nearly 1.5 million North Carolinians struggle with mental health issues, and too many people in rural areas cannot access the care they need. These investments will connect more families to high-quality care in their communities.”
