Acclaimed local author Thomas Rain Crowe will host a special poetry reading and signing from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Blue Ridge Books in Waynesville.
Translated by Rain Crowe, “Dancing with the Beloved: Poems of Hafiz” is written for the common man in everyday speech. The poems reflect the human potential of living in a world of harmony and grace. During a time of international political and religious chaos and violence, perhaps this work will in some way be an essential guide for our survival and recovery.
Always the humble teacher, Hafiz, the Perfect Master, sits with us on the barstool in the town pub like a mirror, reflecting back our dreams.
