Old gold: war, time machines, and good books

In my younger years, I read Herman Woukโ€™s โ€œThe Caine Mutinyโ€ and โ€œMarjorie Morningstar,โ€ but somehow neglected two other bestsellers, his World War II saga โ€œThe Winds of Warโ€ and its sequel, โ€œWar and Remembrance.โ€
