‘Valentine’s Day Open House’
There will be a special “Valentine’s Day Open House” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Museum of Haywood County in Clyde.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, love letters and Valentines from Haywood County’s past will be featured.
‘Rough House’ at City Lights
Alison Lyn Miller will discuss her new book, “Rough House: A Father, a Son, and the Pursuit of Pro Wrestling Glory,” with Robert Alan Grand at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at City Lights Bookstore in Sylva.

Professional craft students to host holiday craft sale
Students in the Professional Crafts Program at Haywood Community College will host a holiday craft sale from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 on campus in Clyde. The sale will feature student work in four mediums: fiber, metals, ceramics and wood. Held in the Mary L. Cornwell Gallery in the Sycamore Building, the sale is open to the public.
