Lenten worship services will be held each Wednesday during Lent at Lake Junaluska’s historic Memorial Chapel and include a Maundy Thursday and Good Friday service.

The services, which will include communion, will be at noon and again at 6:30 p.m. starting on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, and continue weekly until March 25. Services on Maundy Thursday, April 2, and on Good Friday, April 3, will be at 6:30 p.m. only. 

Here is the schedule:

• Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18:  The Rev. Jed Tate, Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesville
• Wednesday, Feb. 25: The Rev. Dianne Donald Lawhorn, Maggie Valley United Methodist Church, Maggie Valley
• Wednesday, March 4: TBA
• Wednesday, March 11: The Rev. Beth Crissman, Smoky Mountain District Superintendent, United Methodist Church
• Wednesday, March 18: The Rev. Ray Hausler, Love First Community and Morning Star United Methodist Church, Canton
• Wednesday, March 25: The Rev. James Marsh, Fincher’s Chapel and Mount Zion United Methodist Churches, Clyde
• Thursday, April 2, Maundy Thursday: Rev Ben Shaeffer, Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church, Waynesville; 6:30 p.m. only
• Friday, April 3, Good Friday: A Service of Quiet Reflection; 6:30 p.m. only

The series of worship services is sponsored by local United Methodist churches and Lake Junaluska’s Program Ministry.
