What can gridlock teach us?

With spring comes a time of rebirth and renewal. Endings that left us in the void during the winter created space for us to reflect on all the ways in which we diminished ourselves so that we could begin the process of unfolding from a new point of view. How do our endings allow us to begin anew?

Maintaining your frequency

Your frequency — also known as your vibration or vibe — is the foundation of all energy. It is used as a magnet to draw all your experiences to you. Being aware of how you are resonating throughout your day can be your greatest asset.

The hamster wheel of human well-being

I’ve become fascinated with studies and lifestyle changes focused on longevity and biohacking. A few recent “revolutionary health and wellness suggestions” made me realize our cave dwelling ancestors already had everything figured out.

Finding Your Frequency

At our inception 20 years ago, we chose to be different. Unlike other news organizations, we made the decision to provide in-depth, regional reporting free to anyone who wanted access to it. We don’t plan to change that model. Support from our readers will help us maintain and strengthen the editorial independence that is crucial to our mission to help make Western North Carolina a better place to call home. If you are able, please support The Smoky Mountain News.

The Smoky Mountain News is a wholly private corporation. Reader contributions support the journalistic mission of SMN to remain independent. Your support of SMN does not constitute a charitable donation. If you have a question about contributing to SMN, please contact us.
