Public comment period open for migratory bird seasons

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is seeking public comment on the 2024-2025 migratory game bird hunting seasons for waterfowl, webless migratory species and extended falconry. 

Help fill the West Fork with trout

Volunteers are wanted to help the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission stock trout into the West Fork Pigeon River in Haywood County beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 4. 

Endangered snail reintroduced to the wild

After 20 years of living only in captivity, the federally endangered magnificent ramshorn has been returned to the wild.
