The Temptations review starring Dennis Edwards to perform Aug. 31

art temptationsRock and Roll Hall of Famer and former lead singer of The Temptations, Dennis Edwards, will take the stage at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 31.

Edwards is known as one of the most influential singers in the history of pop music. Many remember him as the lead singer in such hits as “Papa was a Rollin’ Stone” and his solo career hits such as “Try a Little Tenderness.” As a performer with The Temptations, he earned 14 gold certified albums, five Grammys, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Four singers will join Edwards to pay tribute to The Temptations.

Hits made famous by The Temptations such as “My Girl,” “Get Ready” and “I Can’t Get Next to You” are a few of the songs that will be performed.

Tickets are $29 and are available at the theatre’s box office at 1028 Georgia Road in Franklin.
