‘Greater Tuna’ to stage at SMCT starting July 20

art tunaThe Smoky Mountain Community Theatre will present its summer production, “Greater Tuna,” with special arrangements with Samuel French.

“Greater Tuna” is about Texas’ third smallest town and its upstanding citizens. Billy Wood and Brian Strong will be portraying all of Tuna’s citizens — that’s 20 characters and 40 costumes. It’s a tour de farce of quick change and quick characterization faster than the change in Texas weather.

The play will run July 20-22 and 27-30. All show times are 7:30 p.m. The show is suited for all ages. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for children.
