Gold City to perform at Franklin arts center

art goldcityGospel quartet Gold City will perform at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.

Gold City became a success when they first formed in 1980. They have reached the number one spot on the Singing News charts a total of 10 times with hits such as, “In Time, On Time, Every Time,” and “He Said.”

Quartet members include Jeffrey Pelfrey as lead, Tim Riley as bass, Daniel Riley as baritone, and Dan Keeton as tenor.  Together, the group from a small town in Mississippi has grown into one of the nation’s most requested groups in Southern Gospel music.

The opening act will be Jay Parrack and Vocal Event.

Tickets start at $12 and can be purchased online or at the theatre’s box office, located at 1028 Georgia Road in Franklin.
