Lake J hosts annual plant sale
Lake Junaluska’s yearly plant sale is May 4.
For sale will be a few thousand plants, including an assortment of annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables, and several varieties of native plants from the Corneille Bryan Native Garden, said Melissa Tinsley, Lake Junaluska director of grounds.
A few hybrid tea roses will also be available, as well as hanging baskets, six-inch and four-inch pots and packs of four and six plants.
Plants will range in price from $3 to $45 and can be purchased by cash, check or charge. Proceeds from the plant sale directly support landscaping at Lake Junaluska, where the grounds and gardens are open for all to enjoy and are made possible through charitable giving. Proceeds from the sale of the native plants will specifically benefit the Corneille Bryan Native Garden.
The sale will be held at the Assembly’s Nanci Weldon Memorial Gym on May 4 from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m.
