Remains likely belonging to missing Sylva woman found

GASSOn Saturday, Oct. 22, a pair of ATV riders found Gass’ vehicle in the Cherokee National Forest near the Cherokee County, North Carolina, and Monroe County, Tennessee, border. When she was first reported missing Aug. 26, Gass was believed to be driving a silver 2006 Toyota Scion XA.
