Paddle tour of Lake Junaluska offered

out lakejA paddle tour of Lake Junaluska will tell the history of the 200-acre lake and information about the ecosystems contained within it from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.

Part of Haywood Waterways Association’s Get to Know Your Watershed series, the event aims to educate and connect people with an important component of Haywood’s water supply. Much of the water that flows through Haywood passes over the Lake Junaluska dam on its way to the Pigeon River.
