Get your fall on with Lake Logan paddle

out lakeloganA paddle tour of Lake Logan in Haywood County will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19, with Haywood Waterways Association, Lake Logan Episcopal Conference Center and Waynesville Recreation Center.

The tour will include a history of the lake and the ecosystems within the 300-acre preserve.

“Seasonal wildlife sightings have included bald eagles, river otter, osprey, great blue heron, barn swallows and a variety of migratory waterfowl such as loons and merganser,” said Glenn Barnett, head naturalist for the lake.

Fall color should be well underway as well.
