Schools and other educational organizations in Western North Carolina have the opportunity to bring wildlife education programs to their home turf through the Mountain Wildlife Outreach program.ย

ย These professional-quality presentations offer a variety of live animals and are narrated by experienced wildlife advocates. These include the wolves of Rob Gudger, the raptors of the Balsam Mountain Trust Nature Center, the reptiles and amphibians of Steve Oโ€™Neil, the birds, mammals and reptiles of naturalist Carlton Burke and exotic animals from the North Georgia Zoo and โ€œWings to Soar,โ€ a popular summer attraction at Rock City.ย  All presentations are designed toย  engage the audience in a special way regarding our valued โ€œwild livesโ€ and โ€œwild placesโ€.

This outreach is offered by friends of Mountain Wildlife Days, a two-day event held in July at the Sapphire Valley Resort.ย
