To the Editor:

Harry Belafonte sings a song with lyrics extolling leaders of last century:

“Has anyone seen my ol’ friends,
Abraham and Martin and John??
They freed a lot of people, but the good, they die young.
I just looked around
And they are gone.”

Some lyrics fitting for this century:

“Has anyone seen the cruel tyrants,
Netanyahu and Putin and Trump?
The caused misery for a lot of people, but the good they die young.
I looked around, and they are still here.
Being heavily guarded.”

The cruel tyrants have learned how to rig elections, so they remain in power. For example, Trump is considering using TWG (thugs with guns) — which he calls ICE, to patrol voting places to discourage Latinos, and people of color from coming to vote.

The times, they are a-changing.
