art goldcityGospel quartet Gold City will perform at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.

Gold City became a success when they first formed in 1980. They have reached the number one spot on the Singing News charts a total of 10 times with hits such as, โ€œIn Time, On Time, Every Time,โ€ and โ€œHe Said.โ€

Quartet members include Jeffrey Pelfrey as lead, Tim Riley as bass, Daniel Riley as baritone, and Dan Keeton as tenor. ย Together, the group from a small town in Mississippi has grown into one of the nationโ€™s most requested groups in Southern Gospel music.

The opening act will be Jay Parrack and Vocal Event.

Tickets start at $12 and can be purchased online or at the theatreโ€™s box office, located at 1028 Georgia Road in Franklin.
