Play volleyball at Waynesville Rec

Wednesday evenings will offer open volleyball play and practice at the Waynesville Recreation Center this month, with sessions held 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 5 through Feb. 9.

The sessions are open to people 18 or older as of Jan. 1, and free for rec center members. A group rate of $20 for six players is available for new and existing teams — the open play and practice is for all teams interested in league play, with an organizational meeting for the winter league planned for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9.

We don’t plan to change that model. Support from our readers will help us maintain and strengthen the editorial independence that is crucial to our mission to help make Western North Carolina a better place to call home.
