Written by

out biketoworkThe Land-of-Sky Regional Council will host a round of community input meetings Nov. 5 through Dec. 6 to gather input for a regional bicycling plan.

The organization was awarded a grant from N.C. Department of Transportation in August 2011 to undertake a regional bike plan study for seven counties in Western North Carolina, including Jackson, Swain and Haywood.

The study will continue through June 2013, and the ultimate goal is to develop a regional bicycle plan that will help guide future local transportation investment.
