‘Beauty Beneath the Dirt’ to be screened at REI

A film about three Appalachian Trail thru-hikers will be shown 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the REI in Asheville.

The movie “Beauty Beneath the Dirt” follows the story of three young urbanites as they attempt to balance family, friendship, and personal happiness while hiking from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian Trail. Thru-hiker Katherine Imp, the director, executive producer and cast member, will be present for a post-screening question and answer. $5.
