To the Editor:

I’m 62 years old and have been here since I was 19 years old. I really don’t understand Balsam Mountain Preserve. They’ve got 4,400 acres and 354 lots (starting at $500,000). They sold 236 lots for $56 million and didn’t pay a lowly $20 million mortgage. They have an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Golf Course, riding stables, a dining hall, pool, tennis courts, pavilion, and a backcountry camp.

Trust me, I’ll never see any of that and neither will anybody I know. They killed Scotts Creek trout and nothing was done. Yeah, I’m really crying my eyes out. Ha, ha!
