Finding Light in Adversity

Finding Light in Adversity

By Sabrina Matheny • Rumble Contributor|

“Partner with adversity. The light of our highest potential is hunting us down to liberate us from our hiding spot.”-Matt Kahn

Adversity always offers us choice. The question I like to associate with adversity is “what’s in this situation for me?” What am I choosing to struggle against? Is this moment calling for me to hold my stance or let it go? By keeping my current mindset, am I staying rigid when life is offering me the opportunity to expand my consciousness?

When we are operating with complete authenticity, we are operating from our highest potential. It means we do not change our values and our character when dealing with others. We can stay true to our heart even when staring into the eyes of those we love and not giving into their demands. We do not need to manipulate in order to gain favor, as we do not see the other person as our competition.

Our hiding spots are all the ways we are willing to sacrifice our well-being to make the other person more comfortable for a myriad of reasons. These are places in our relationships, careers and character that we are willing to play small. We choose to shrink our spirit instead of using our connection with our higher selves as a touchstone for others to connect into their spirit.

Hunting and liberating communicate the pressing nature of this mission. You’re out of time fellow light warriors. You no longer have the luxury of lollygagging through life. There is urgency now as the earth is bringing in more light and creating upheaval in all the places that are constricted with dualistic thinking. When you know with every fiber of your being that you are connected to all the souls on earth, you operate with more love and compassion. You understand from a broader perspective that when you treat others as separate from you, you hold yourself apart from your own being. Judgment is your unexpressed power turned inward against you, creating conflict and dis-ease in the physical body.

Breathe this quote in. If it resonates with you, you are ready. You are hearing the call of your spirit and you are choosing to answer. Life is about to get chaotic as you unravel the tapestry of what was and make space for what is to come. It will not always be easy, but your inner strength will propel you forward. You have everything you need inside of you. When you feel fearful, look into the eyes of those around you. Some of us will feel familiar. We will be the ones offering you a silent namaste: the light in me, honors the light in you. We have each come to heal the planet by shining our light. This light comes from being true to our hearts and trusting that healing is happening even when the world demonstrates otherwise. Semper Fi.
