‘The Tribes of the Littles’

‘The Tribes of the Littles’

Local author Pamela Volpert will read from her book, “The Tribes of the Littles,” at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at City Lights Bookstore in Sylva.

Have you ever wondered about the Little people that live under the plants and flowers? The Littles, led by Master Elder Krog, have a great love for all the people and animals that share the Hollows. With their companions, they coexist with nature.

Henna Rose is a grandmother that loves baking for her ever-growing family. Honey cakes are her specialty. She is a healer for the Hollow. She and the other Littles will go on an exciting adventure with a special purpose and find themselves in a much larger world.

The event is free and open to the public. To order copies of the book in advance, call the bookstore at 828.586.9499 or stop by the shop.

We don’t plan to change that model. Support from our readers will help us maintain and strengthen the editorial independence that is crucial to our mission to help make Western North Carolina a better place to call home. If you are able, please support The Smoky Mountain News.
