Robb will present a history of Roller Derby as a sport, bringing it from its origins in the 1930s up to its current status as what she describes as “a legitimate, competitive, female-dominated contact sport.” Robb will show pictures and video, as well as display the gear and protective equipment that are part of the sport today.

 Robb is a founding member of Smoky Mountain Roller Girls, a team in its first year with the Women’s Flat-Track Derby Association. She is a graduate of WCU with a degree in parks and recreation management and is a farmer in Bryson City.
