'The Medium' comes to HART

art mediumWestern Carolina University’s School of Music, in collaboration with the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre, will present Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera “The Medium” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at HART in Waynesville.

 

“The Medium” is the story of Madam Flora; her daughter, Monica; and their servant, Toby, as they cheat vulnerable clients through fake séances. During one séance, a hand mysteriously touches Madam Flora’s neck, with the incident leading to insanity and murder. 

The program is made possible in part by the WCU School of Music’s new Artist-in-Residence Program. Tickets are $15 for adults ($12 for seniors) and $6 for students.
