The sounds of Frank Sinatra will arrive at Western Carolina University on Sept. 16 for the first installment of the 2012-13 Galaxy of Stars Series. “Simply Sinatra” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center, with entertainer Steve Lippia and a 10-piece big band orchestra interpreting Sinatra classics such as “The Second Time Around,” “Come Fly with Me,” “Luck Be a Lady” and “Fly Me to the Moon.”
Lippia’s interpretation of the Sinatra songbook has taken him from coast to coast. Other songs on the set list include “I’ve Got You under My Skin,” “The Lady Is A Tramp,” “Mack the Knife,” “Summer Wind,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “That’s Life” and “The Best Is Yet To Come.”
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for groups and WCU faculty and staff, $5 for children and students.
