Sing along to old-time favorites in Franklin

Written by

An old-time community songfest will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, at the Town Square in downtown Franklin.

The program will include group singing of old and not-so-old familiar and patriotic songs like “You Are My Sunshine,” “America” and “All I Have To Do Is Dream,” with emphasis on round and harmony singing.

Ubuntu Franklin, a local a cappella singing group, will demonstrate their special style of participatory singing. Food may be purchased from downtown restaurants and vendors, or attendees can bring their own.

This Must Be the Place

  • This must be the place

art theplaceIt’s not only a time capsule, but also a window into the future.

With guitars in-hand, The DuPont Brothers are two men, two voices that become a singular melodic force. The Vermont-based siblings are quite possibly the finest acoustic duo out there today, nationally or internationally. Their mesmerizing sound and pure intent perpetuates a long line of powerhouse harmonic acts, bringing names like Simon & Garfunkel and Seals & Crofts to mind.
